Bunya Mountains are an isolated section of the Great Dividing Range. They rise abruptly from the surrounding plains to an average elevation of 975m and reaching over 1100 metres at Mts. Mowbullan and Kiangarow. Bunya Spires is nestled in a private estate with close proximity to the Bunya Mountains National Park as well as other local parks and pinic areas. Due to the location – NO PETS are allowed in the estate and we endeavor to co-habit peacefully with the native wildlife.
The closest large towns of Dalby – Kingaroy and Nanango are all approx. 60 klms from the Bunya Mountains in different directions. Dalby is located south of the mountains with Kingaroy and Nanango located to the north.
History of Bunya Spires
The house was originally owned by the Geiger family, of Geiger Fashions, clothes for women. The house was designed by a company to suit the wonderful outlook over the valley below. Around 19 years ago, the previous owner purchased the property and continued to make improvements. A few years ago the veranda deck was replaced, plus the steps and the balustrade which is powder coated. In March 2016, Mark and Ingrid Davis (and the bank) purchased the property after holidaying on the mountain for 25 years.
